Bumble’s popular dating app is opening up a physical location in the coming months. The location is set to be named The Hive and have many bee-like and unique decor throughout. Similar to the app itself, The Hive is going to be a place where people can meet up for both dates or friends linking up. The location will serve both a full alcohol and coffee bar but has limited hours. They will be open from Thursday to Sunday but close in the middle of the day and reopen in the afternoon. The Hive will only be open for one month, while the app designer Whitney Wolfe has a chance to figure out whether or not they should expand The Hive to multiple cities around the United States. Today, the company is already estimated to be worth about $500 million.

Whitney Wolfe has played a big role when it comes to online dating applications. She is founder and CEO of Bumble, the unique app where women get to make the first move. She is also co-founder of Tinder. The initial idea for Bumble was inspired out of a sexual harassment claim Wolfe filed against Tinder. She wanted a company where Women had the the first say on who they wanted potentially go on a date with, unlike the traditional norm where men are the first to show interest. Bumble has already had expansions with its brand including BumbleBIZZ and Bumble BFF.
